WE ARE NOW CLOSED FOR WINTER MONTHS.
When your vehicle develops a wiring or electrical problem or your Check Engine Light comes on it may not be as serious as it looks.
We can also check the engine condition for wear, misfires, poor running or high fuel consumption without dismantling components.
Some faults do not cause the Check Engine Light to come on however a fault code or codes could exist in the computer (ECU) or sensors which can help diagnose the faulty component or wiring.
Buyer beware You might want to read this first before your next decision.
As well as petrol and diesel engine technician's we are IMI EV Certified Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Level 3 and Level 4, technicians who can safely diagnose and test your hybrid and electric vehicle.
PLEASE NOTE that we do not fit or modify non manufacturers components. We are fault diagnostic specialist's.
If you are in the Motor Trade see the section below for more information.
Remember, We are mobile Durham based and come to you at home or work and our initial callout and diagnostic time is at a fixed cost. Our equipment, including scanners and Professional Diagnostic Software help us quickly determine faults.
We are available Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm. and Saturday 10am to 3pm for bookings or advice only.

Not all mechanics understand modern car electronics and can often misdiagnose faults which can be expensive for you in both time and money.
They also might fit a non OEM (after market) part that is a poor copy of the original. This also might result in not curing the problem or it returns a short time later.
The scan tools used to diagnose problems can also be misleading. These tools cost from a few pounds to several thousand pounds.
These scanners can vary greatly in what they can and cannot diagnose and in some cases give false readings.
Ask the mechanic what qualifications he/she has.
Time served is not enough. !!
What you really need is a qualified vehicle electrical technician with the correct diagnostic tools.
We carry out electrical and component diagnostics on most vehicle types providing you with the information you require to repair the vehicle.
We are also a IMI EV Level 3 and 4 Certified Technician.
If you are in the motor trade including a bodyshop or in vehicle sales and do not have a trained diagnostic technician then you can call us to diagnose electrical component faults and/or isolate the electric or hybrid vehicle so it is safe to work on.
We will also provide a list of do's and dont's to help you with EV's.
We will return, if required, when your repairs are complete, to check and restore the EV vehicle to Ready Mode for the customer.
Internal parts of the engine can cause different faults such as misfires, poor running, high fuel consumption. These faults may be difficult to find and prove very expensive to diagnose due to components having to be removed. Your vehicle may be in a garage for several days or weeks. Our test equipment can usually find the cause relatively quickly without dismantling components leaving you with better choices as to what to do next.
We are mobile and cover the larger Durham area including Chester le Street, Washington, Lanchester, Stanley and Houghton le Spring areas.
Cash, credit and debit cards or bank transfer accepted.
